permit through the State of NH and a variance through
the town of Hillsboro. We looked into doing the process

Sharon has been a pleasure to work with. I first hired
her several years ago to flag and map wetlands for me
for a construction project in Peterborough. She was
delightful to work with, very professional, knows all

Septic
System Replacement
When our dream house proved to have a failing septic
system, Sharon developed a plan which was not only a
solution to the problem, but was sensitive to the beauty
of the site. Because we were new to the area, she
provided an extensive list of prospective contractors,
at our request. Sharon will be the first person we call
when we plan future site work.

Septic System Replacement and New Construction
Sharon Monahan helped us greatly in two situations.
Prior to selling our house we needed to replace our
septic system, which Sharon led us confidently through
what could have been a very stressful situation. Based
on this great experience, we asked Sharon to design a
complete site plan for our new home construction. Sharon
was able to define the plot plan including any potential
wetlands, identify the optimal areas for a septic area,
create a driveway plan and design our septic system that
allowed us to build the home of our dreams. We enjoyed
working with Sharon and the contractors she recommended.
She was extremely knowledgeable and responsive to us as
clients.

New Construction: Residential Mountainside Home off a
Class VI Road
'Sharon's wetland expertise has been invaluable to us.
We purchased a piece of land that required an extensive
road improvement and major town board involvement before
we could build our dream house. So her 1st project was
to delineate the wetlands with an impact assessment for
a distance of about 1/2 mile and submit the necessary
state permits for culverts (6) so we could have the road
design plan prepared and given to the town for approval
(believe me, you want professional documentation when
you are dealing with town boards).
Our next job for her was to prepare the wetland report
and subsequent permit applications for a driveway to the
house site that crossed a wetland, including permission
to place a culvert across a small stream on a
recreational trail below the house site. All of the
aforementioned state permits were received without
complications.
Lastly came the septic design and house placement which
was on a hill and about half ledge. We had a very
confined space in which to place the house, well and
septic in order to meet all setback requirements and
still have our perfect mountain view. Sharon came
through once again, working closely with us to meet all
of our needs. Our dream is reality.
Sharon is foremost a person of integrity. She is
professional, punctual, thorough and easy to work with.
She is our wetland scientist - that's how we met, but we
are now blessed to call her our friend.
